Recording with Operavue: your questions, answered.
Does Operavue provide a surgical recording headset?
Yes. Operavue provides an optional recording headset as part of an agreed capture partnership. We define the equipment arrangements, procedures, recording specifications, institutional approvals, and compensation before recording starts. You can register interest even if you have never recorded a procedure.
Can I participate without wearing a headset?
Yes. Surgeons can discuss licensing existing recordings, clinical annotation, dataset review, AI model evaluation, or advisory work. Opportunities depend on the research project and your expertise. A headset is one way to participate, and recording new footage is optional.
How are surgeons paid for contributing surgical data?
Compensation is agreed for each partnership and can include minimum guarantees and licensing revenue shares. The agreement specifies eligible contributions, acceptance requirements, payment timing, and reporting. Payments and participation must fit the relevant ownership, institutional, and professional requirements.
What happens after I register interest?
We discuss your specialty, procedures, recording setting, and preferred contribution. For capture projects, the next step is to assess the research fit and involve the appropriate institutional decision-makers. A recording plan and commercial agreement come before equipment deployment and data collection.
