ABOUT OPERAVUE

Human expertise.
Shared possibility.

What is Operavue?

Operavue is a surgeon-led surgical video data company connecting surgeons and institutional data providers with robotics, medical device, life sciences, and frontier AI teams. Partnerships cover existing footage, new recording programs, and clinical expertise, with minimum guarantees and revenue sharing agreed for qualifying contributions.

THE COMPANY, IN CONTEXT

A partnership built
around the work.

What kinds of surgical data does Operavue work with?

Operavue welcomes inquiries about open, laparoscopic, robotic, endoscopic, and microscopic surgical video. Existing archives can be monocular or stereoscopic. New capture projects can be scoped for 2K stereoscopic video, with exact resolution per view, synchronization, calibration, and delivery requirements agreed for each project.

Does Operavue provide headsets to surgeons?

Yes. Operavue provides an optional recording headset as part of an agreed capture partnership. Recording plans, equipment arrangements, permissions, and compensation are defined before procedures are recorded. Surgeons can also participate through existing footage, clinical annotation, dataset review, evaluation, or advisory work.

Who can source data through Operavue?

Robotics companies, medical device teams, pharmaceutical and life sciences researchers, and frontier AI labs can discuss surgical video requirements with Operavue. A buyer brief defines the research task, procedures, views, annotations, intended uses, sample review, and acceptance criteria. Availability and delivery are confirmed for each project.

How does Operavue compensate data partners?

Qualifying partnerships can include negotiated minimum guarantees and shares of licensing revenue. Agreements define eligible contributions, accepted deliverables, preparation costs, payment timing, and reporting. A minimum guarantee may be additional to revenue shares or recouped from them, as specified in the contract.

What permissions are needed before recording or licensing?

Each partnership requires a review of recording ownership, institutional approvals, patient permissions where applicable, privacy requirements, and permitted uses. A surgeon’s participation alone does not establish licensing rights. Operavue is committed to putting the required HIPAA safeguards and agreements in place before handling protected health information.

What should I send in my first inquiry?

Send a high-level description of your procedures, research needs, existing archive, or clinical expertise through the relevant interest form. The website collects business inquiries only. Patient information, surgical recordings, and confidential clinical records belong in a separately agreed transfer process after permissions and safeguards are established.
